If you find yourself wandering through the bustling streets of Pike Place Market, make sure to mark your calendar for a must-visit stop: Le Panier. This charming bakery operates at the vibrant heart of Seattle, offering a delightful taste of France right in the Pacific Northwest. Symptoms of a true French experience include not only the enticing aromas wafting through the air but the atmosphere that seems to hum with the richness of culinary tradition.

Step inside, and you're greeted by the intoxicating smell of freshly baked pastries. The display case is a work of art filled with irresistible treats, from flaky croissants to exquisite eclairs that would charm anyone with a sweet tooth. Each pastry is crafted with care, showcasing the bakery's dedication to authentic French techniques. Reviewers rave about the raspberry croissant, which boasts a flaky, buttery exterior hiding a luscious berry filling—a true standout that leaves a lasting impression.

If coffee is your go-to companion, you're in for a treat as well! The lattes served here have been described as rich, smooth, and expertly crafted, providing the perfect balance to accompany your pastry of choice. It’s no wonder that patrons like Babak Yousefi and Par Mo have noted the creamy consistency and delightful flavor, making it a favorite spot for coffee lovers and casual drinkers alike.

While the indulgent sweets may require a bit of patience, the experience is undeniably rewarding. As Katelyn Lucero puts it, the wait may stretch on busy weekends, yet the pistachio eclair and savory pastries—like the tomato and mushroom pastries—are touted as worth every minute spent in line. Each item showcases the bakery's commitment to using quality ingredients and traditional methods, resonating with a clientele that appreciates the finer things in life.

As you enjoy your treats, soak in the cozy yet bustling atmosphere of Le Panier. With limited seating, it may be a bit of a squeeze, but that only adds to its charm. Friendly and faster service keeps the energy up, and Maria feels right at home here, owing to the warm and welcoming vibes complimented by the chorus of satisfied patrons enjoying their own flavor adventures. Little did you know that this waterfront gem would evolve into a communal experience, with a line of eager customers forming a sense of anticipation that pulses through the air.

In a world where average bakeries are a dime a dozen, Le Panier stands out as a beacon of authenticity and taste. If you're craving a slice of Paris in Seattle, you’ll find it here—one pastry, one latte, and one delightful memory at a time. So next time you're near Pike Place Market, swing by Le Panier, and allow them to transport you to a world where every bite tells a story.

Le Panier is a little slice of Paris right in the middle of Pike Place Market! I stopped in for a latte and a cinnamon roll, and both were absolutely perfect. The latte was smooth, rich, and expertly crafted — a real treat compared to your average coffee shop. The cinnamon roll was fresh, buttery, and just the right amount of sweet, with a light, flaky texture that melted in my mouth. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with the wonderful smell of fresh-baked pastries filling the air. Service was quick and friendly even though the shop was busy. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxing break while exploring the market. 5/5 stars — Authentic French bakery experience with outstanding coffee and pastries. Can’t wait to come back!

I'm on a bit of a quest. I discovered coffee & croissants later in life but at least I did. So many croissant disappointments tho here in the states. Usually they're stale, tough, rubbery or greasy (or all of the above)-even from an "authentic French" bakery. Don't get me wrong. The croissant-like item from these other bakeries is usually quite yummy "bread" just not a yummy croissant. Lower my expectations... never. I just started making them myself. If you want something done right, right? Making them myself however, is a 2 day, many hours long, labor intensive process with ingredients not always easy to find, that I go thru monthly. I guess this is too hard for most bakeries? Not Le Panier. I can now say when in Seattle and craving a croissant that is light, airy, flaky, buttery and melt in your mouth, visit Le Panier by Pike Place. The place was packed and noisy and kinda unpleasant to eat in but with the waterfront right there who'd want to anyway. This was my first time at Le Panier but will be back. Highly recommended.

I recently visited Le Panier at Pike Place Market and had a truly wonderful experience. I ordered a latte and a cinnamon roll, and both were absolutely outstanding. The latte was perfectly balanced smooth, rich, and creamy exactly what you hope for from a good coffee. The cinnamon roll was fresh, soft, and full of flavor, with just the right amount of sweetness and spice. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and despite the busy location, the service was fast and friendly. If you’re in Seattle and visiting Pike Place Market, Le Panier is a must-visit for delicious pastries and coffee. Highly recommended!

The intoxicatingly smells of the fresh bread and croissant wafting from this shop will draw you in immediately. The baked goods are on par with what you get in Europe. This is worth all the wait and hype. The service is friendly and fast. Seating is hard to find because it’s always busy but still totally worth your while.

Waited in line for about 40 minutes or so on a Sunday morning but the pasties were delicious. The pistachio eclair was the best I’ve ever had. The almond and chocolate croissants were flaky and good. The tomato pastry was amazing and the mushroom one was also a tasty bite! The Palmer was also good. We ordered a few things to try. Overall, it’s delicious! You decide if the wait is worth it. For us, it was because we wanted to give it a try!

The long lines for Le Panier made so much sense once I got my latte’s, the raspberry croissant, and the macaroons! The raspberry croissant was such a standout—flaky, buttery, and just the right amount of sweet. Pairing it with a latte and those delicate macaroons? Total win. And yes, the warm service really adds to the charm and coziness of thjs place!

Great pastries are located here. The wait can reach around the building so be sure and get there early. Seating is available inside and you can enjoy your pastries while Pike street market operates.
